Eric Osentoski

April 11, 1992 - April 1, 2021

Eric Matthew Osentoski, 28, of Attica, MI, and formerly of Kokomo, IN, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday April 1, 2021. He was born on April 11, 1992 in Flint, MI to Mark and Linda (Rogers) Osentoski. Eric was a student athlete and 2010 graduate of Northwestern High School in Kokomo, IN, and subsequently received his Bachelors of Science degree from Indiana University in 2015. His most recent career move was a sales supervisor position at Renewal by Anderson. Eric regularly attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lapeer, MI. Eric was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the NBA, the Indianapolis Colts, his beloved Indiana University Hoosiers and following the Detroit Tigers. He was also a fan of many daily ESPN shows, was a proven movie connoisseur and was known to binge on popular cable TV series. Eric was a huge advocate of Apple products, truly loved his iPhone and the social media engagement that went with it. Eric discovered the joy of cooking and made each dish spicier than the last. On the soft side, Eric loved animals, especially cats. Eric is survived by his parents, Mark and Linda Osentoski of Attica, MI; his brother Aaron Osentoski (Kyle Stillwell) of Westerville, OH; his special friend Amanda Cafarillia of Macomb, MI; his grandmother Audrey Osentoski of Ubly, MI; aunts and uncles Tammy (Andy) Pasterz of Saginaw, MI, Jennifer (Robert) Reilly of Charlotte, NC, Diane (Mike) Hiller of Filion, MI, Cheryl (Steve) Hilla of Raleigh, NC, Nancy (Erich) Wessels of Cedar Falls, IA, and Don (Amy) Rogers of Bad Axe, MI; and 14 cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jerry Osentoski, his maternal grandparents Donald and Naomi Rogers, and his uncle Brian Osentoski. Funeral service for Eric will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth Lueke. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday April 5, 2021 from 4 – 8 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe or Tuesday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am.
