Merritt Ender
March 1, 1930 - May 6, 2018
Merritt Fred Ender, age 88, of Kinde, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his home. Merritt was born on March 1, 1930, in Port Hope, son of the late Frederick and Agnes (Iseler) Ender. He married Joan Goniwicha on July 30, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville. Merritt is survived by his wife, Joan Ender of Kinde. He is also survived by: Daughters – Terry (Doug) Koroleski of Allen Park, Deanna (Eric) Day of Miamisburg, OH and Trudy Ender of Caledonia. Sisters – Phyllis Zarish of Novi, Phelma McKerracher of Livonia,and Marilyn Weiss of Shelby Township. Five Grandchildren – Kathryn (Jeff) Wisser of Allen Park, Joshua Koroleski of Imlay City, Scott Solomon of Ohio, Benjamin Stolberg of Caledonia, and Ruby Stolberg of Caledonia. Two Great-Grandchildren – Shaun Wisser and Cody Wisser of Allen Park. Merritt was an elder and member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He served our country as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. After service, he worked for Massy Harris and was also part owner of Biff's Bowling Bar. Merritt worked for 30 years at Pigeon Manufacturing as well. Merritt loved God, his wife, family, and friends. He enjoyed traveling and playing cards, and his favorite pasttime was bowling. He loved to tell jokes as he enjoyed when people laughed and smiled. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11 am at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Kinde. Friends may visit the family at church on Thursday from 10 am until the service at 11 am. The Ender Family requests there be no floral offerings for Merritt. Thank you.
