Otis O. Skinner
November 15, 1940 - February 5, 2022
Otis O. Skinner, age 81, of Bad Axe, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 15, 1940 in Cass City, son of the late William and Goldie (Jewell) Skinner. He married Jean Dorsch on October 25, 1975 in Bay Port. Otis worked as a tiler for Sterm Tiling Company. He loved tinkering with cars, browsing estate and garage sales, gardening, fishing, and raising chickens. His dogs meant the world to him. He poured his heart into cooking delicious meals for his family, and his favorite evenings consisted of watching the TV show Cops and old Westerns. Otis is survived by his wife, Jean Skinner of Bad Axe; his four sons – Otis (Dawn) Skinner of Sterling Heights, Erick Skinner of Zeeland, Darrel Skinner of Bad Axe, and Pete Skinner of Bad Axe; five daughters – Jeannie (Michael McIntosh) Skinner of Bad Axe, Tina (Larry) Legue of Vassar, Sandra (Rick) Walden of Panama City, Florida, Karin Yorks of Reese, Karmin (Lanny) Hargrove of Swartz Creek; one sister – Mary Lou Leese of Sand Lake; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, O, and one brother, Theron Skinner. His family will receive guests for visitation on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 11 am until 1 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe.
